Assessing the suitability of Composition approach and Fusion method for the documentation of inter-object behavior

We examine how the Fusion method handles the followings aspects which characterize a better documentation of the inter-object behavior, namely styles of specification, readability, formal basis, composition and refinement, completeness, temporal ordering of operations, structural constraints, global invariants, individual object specification, preand postconditions, and finally, use case description. We found that the Fusion method uses various notations both formal and informal to cover these aspects. Unless one has strong expertise in the Fusion method, one may not be able to properly use these notations to document the inter-object behavior. Some notations, such as object interaction and visibility graphs, are still quite useful for partially documenting the interobject behavior. Last but not least, in order to get the whole picture of the inter-object behavior, one has to combine these notations.
